This newly widowed client was downsizing from a large country home to a three-bedroom condo in the city and wanted her new space to be a feminine, restful retreat filled with her favourite things. Her beautiful art and pottery inspired the colour palette, with blue and white pieces serving as a jumping-off point.

Comfort was key, so we selected a sofa with down-wrapped cushions for ultimate coziness and performance fabric for durability, while the generously sized side chairs feature open woodwork to keep them feeling light. Blue drapery adds softness and colour to the neutral walls, and mounting it at the ceiling and over the patio doors creates the illusion of taller ceilings. The result is an elegant, functional living room perfect for watching television, reading, and entertaining.

“Natalie was instrumental in making the design process easier for me by ensuring the selection of colours, drapery, furniture and lighting worked well together and reflected my personal style. Her passion for her work was evident throughout. She provided excellent service and follow-up and it has been my pleasure to work with her. I would highly recommend her interior decorating services.”
